Football fever hit Bolton's Market Place
on Wednesday 22nd March 2006, when the
final touches were put to a rousing film
being made for this summer's World Cup.
The film Believe is the story of fictional
character Bill Lever, a visionary obsessed
with football who was born at the moment

The G8 stands for the 'Group
of Eight' nations. It began in 1975 when President Giscard
d'Estaing of France invited the leaders of Japan, the USA,
Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy to Ramboillet, near
Paris, to discuss the economic problems of the day. The
group expanded to include Canada in 1976 and Russia in
1998. Unlike many other international bodies, the G8 does
not have a fixed structure or a permanent administration.
It is up to the country that has the Presidency to set the
agenda and organize the annual G8 Summit. As the Summit,
the leaders of the eight member countries discuss major
issues of the day. They seek to reach informal agreements
on measures that they can take individually, but in a
cooperative manner, to achieve their goals more
effectively. At each Summit, leaders agree upon certain
initiatives; there are follow-up meetings throughout the
year to make sure commitments are being honoured.

The
year 2002 was a very productive and enjoyable year
for all of us. We accepted orders for flags for
every country represented in the Commonwealth Games,
and we also manufactured and installed flagpoles for
many local Councils and dignitaries - all keen to
promote the Games in the City of Manchester.

Tough, sexy, funny
and heartbreaking, Lilies details the lives of Iris,
May and Ruby Moss – sisters coming of age in a
dockland terrace house. Familial love sustains them,
and their fortunes are bound to those of their
brother and their father.
Set in the years
immediately following the First World War, Lilies
pulls no punches in its storytelling.
It depicts a sensual, vivid and sometimes savage
world, where life is lived on the breadline, yet
fuelled by various kinds of love. All three girls
must make their own way in the world.
